IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BUY WINDOWS 7 PC FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

During the holiday season, we think a lot of different gifts we can give to our family or loved ones. Most of us, consider the price of a product, reliability and efficiency. But, we all want it to be very special, something that they can use every day. A lot of people, would consider buying Computers or gadgets this holiday season, but, before we go on any further, let me tell you a short story of my family and why it’s now a great time for us to buy Microsoft Windows 7 products…

I was born in a very simple family. I grew up with my mom and three siblings. Our family lives here in Manila, while my dad used to work in Saudi Arabia. I grew up playing board games and simple handmade toys, very far from the kids nowadays. We used to live a very simple life. I remember when I was still in grade school, back in 1990’s. We used to scout different places here in Malabon City, just to look for a Computer Rental Shop. Computers back then was just powered by 286 or 386 computer chipsets. Those are the really old school type CPU’s, which literally takes 15-20mins just to boot up. You also have to plug-in a gigantic Floppy Disk just to boot up the computer with a Microsoft DOS program. When my dad heard about it, he told us to study hard and wait, because, he was going to buy us a computer. At that time, our parents already bought us a huge volume of Encyclopedia books that we used to complete our school assignments or research. It was a good source of information; however, as the time goes by, it became obsolete.

It took a couple more years when my dad sent us the Computer package that he promised us. It was running on Windows 95 Operating System, it was the latest back then. My family and I started using it and discovering the power of Computer. We started from learning the very basics, from the DOS language and how to use programs like MS paintbrush, and how to create greeting cards and play games. We used it for a couple of years, when my dad bought us another Computer running on Windows 98 Operating System. Then, when we reached college, we bought our 3rd computer running on Windows XP. Getting viruses was often a problem back then, since, most of our assignments are being saved on a floppy disk, which we use to transfer school computer files to our home computer to finish our school assignments. When we were still young, we used to send our dad some letters and voice tapes via snail mail. I remember receiving packages from our dad, with some blank cassette tapes. Using a regular cassette tape recorder, we recorded everything we wanted to tell him; stories, funny moments and etc. He said that it really helped him fight stress and homesickness. He also used to call us on our landline phone, and spend lots of money for long distance calls, just to hear our voice. Then, the Internet became available in our area; we immediately subscribed to a Dial-Up Internet Service. Using our old school, 56kbps modem, we were able to exchange emails, or chat with our dad via MSN Messenger...

My father spent 20 years of his life working as a Ticketing Manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We grew up without our father right by our side. Despite of our situation, his distance was never a problem… He was really the best dad anyone could have. We chat and exchange emails with him almost every day. So, having our Computer connected to the Internet made our communication a lot easier and better. Until now, voice chat is still cheaper compared to using a regular analog line to dial a long distance number. My mom used to restrict us from using the Internet. Finally, we were able to convince her that aside from doing our assignments, chatting with our friends and playing games on our computers. We can also save some money from expensive long distance phone charges, and make the most out of it! Internet became the medium of our communication. I am pretty sure that it wasn’t just our family who find Computers very important and helpful. Many people who have worked in abroad will surely agree with me. Even with our current jobs, we use computers every day. I work as a Tier 2 Technical Support; we handle calls from customers in the United States. Using our Computers powered by Microsoft Windows Operating System, we talk to our customers using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Phone Technology. With our tools, we can communicate with our customers effectively, and also, it allows us to access our customer’s computer remotely whenever it is needed. Without Computers, without the Internet, perhaps, it would be like living back in a prehistoric age. Things that we used to process on Computers will need to be written down on a paper or done manually. We will all start from the scratch. It reminds me of Bruce Willis' movie; the DIE HARD 4.0, where it shows a hypothetical attack by computer hackers on the U.S. vital networks. That eventually affected the U.S. government, infrastructure, and the economy causing fear and chaos in the country. I actually don’t even want to think about it, it’s crazy! All I can say is, Computer is very important; it became part of our lives, part of our society, and part of our existence…

If you agree with me, and you really value your computer, then, give your computer a treat! Start upgrading your system to Windows 7 and get the most out of it! Let me tell you about some features you can get with Windows 7. It makes your PC a lot faster and better, with its 64-bit support, multitasking is now a lot easier. It comes with a Smarter Search interface that gives you instant results, grouped by category, documents, pictures, programs and etc. You can easily exchange music, pictures, and videos from one computer to another on your Home group. No more hassle when connecting wirelessly, just one click of a button and Windows will automatically remember it for you. It also supports Windows Touch, which allows you to browse the web, toggle from one file or photos to another using your fingers to touchscreen PC. A Device Stage feature in Windows 7 is a new thing you have to check out, once you plug in a compatible device, it automatically displays a menu with information and tasks like number of photos, printing options, battery life and etc. It is also built for Media Streaming, with new features in MS Windows Media Player 12, you can now browse, stream or play your favorite music, videos or photos from your PC to your Home Theater. Internet programs such as Internet Explorer 9 and Windows Live will give you better Internet experience. Also, a new feature called Action Center puts you in control of warning, maintenance and security messages on your Windows 7 interface. There are tons of great features on Windows 7; it is much faster, secured and reliable! Buy genuine Windows 7 products and enjoy the benefits!

As the day goes by, the Computer and Internet Technology continuously evolve. Our lifestyle and needs are also growing. We want a system that works together with other devices that we have. Like in our family, we use our Microsoft Windows 7 powered Computer to communicate with our relatives who live and work in the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. We use Social Networking sites to chat, exchange photos or videos and a lot more. It’s funny, because, our relationships with our relatives are now a lot better. Those relatives of mine that we rarely see are now just an e-mail or video chat away. SMS is good, but, it’s still expensive and there are only few words you can say in 150 characters per text. Expensive long distance call using our regular landlines is no match for FREE video chat using the Internet. But, that’s not all; unfinished projects are not a problem anymore. My wife brings home her unfinished office work, and completes it using Microsoft Office 2010. Letting her finish her projects on time and keeping her worry-free! I also use Computer at home, to finish my online job projects and to write articles for my websites. And, the best part of it is, since our computer is hooked up with our 32” LCD TV and Home Theater. On our free time, my wife and I can play Online and LAN Games! It brings joy and laughter each time we work together to defeat our game enemies! We can now also watch movies or television programs now via free live streaming. It’s an exciting way to enjoy our rest-days!

Nowadays, we use computers in almost everything; it also brings our family together. If you are still thinking of what to buy for your family this upcoming holiday season, this is the best time for you to surprise them with a brand new computer! What I can suggest to you? Give your husband or father High-performance PC that will let him to be the best Dad he can be! Don't forget to give your wife or mom a lightweight PC or Laptop that will help her keep track of everything between the office and the home in style! Got kids? They will surely love to receive Multimedia PCs that will easily keep up with them as they learn and play! You can’t go wrong with Computers running on Windows 7 Operating System packed with MS Office software, it’s something that they will use and enjoy every single day!

Your blog practically relate the history of personal computer and the Windows operating system (OS). Yes, Windows 7 is a good Microsoft product but I must say that there are also other OS which are as good and free to use.

Yes, it is but natural to say something good of the things you used to promote. But you know there are also other Operating System that are also working efficiently as Windows 7. There are popular modern operating systems like Android, iOS, Linux, Mac OS X, BSD, among others.

Word of caution: whether how efficient is your OS, once it is attacked by computer viruses, everything goes to naught!
