WHAT IS SYSTEM RESTORE?!
System Restore is a program or application on our computer, part of WINDOWS Operating Systems that allow us to restore our computers to an earlier point. Usually, our computers does an automatic update, and saves a restore point automatically every week, it's a feature called System Protection (it regularly create and save the restore points on the computer).
WHY DO WE HAVE TO DO SYSTEM RESTORE?
Since, System Restore will allow us to restore our computer to an earlier point or to a previous "working" stage. We usually need to try this step, if we got some glitch on our Personal Computer or Laptop after installing Windows update or a new program, or application, that might have caused problems on our computer. Basically, it's our bestfriend to eliminate minor glitch on our computer. You can also try this step, if your Internet suddenly stopped working, this works most of the time!
SCREENSHOT: HOW TO DO SYSTEM RESTORE ON WINDOWS XP, WINDOWS VISTA AND WINDOWS 7?
On the Lower right hand side of your screen, left CLICK on START or the WINDOWS Logo, then look for PROGRAMS or ALL PROGRAMS, then left CLICK on it.
Then, look for ACCESSORIES, then left CLICK on it.
Then, look for SYSTEM TOOLS, then left CLICK on it.
Once you see SYSTEM RESTORE, just left CLICK on it.
Then, a new window will pop-up, then you'll see the SYSTEM RESTORE application. On the lower right hand of the new window, just left CLICK on the NEXT button.
Then, it will bring you to the next page, just like what you see above. Make sure that you place a check mark on the small white box that says, "Show more restore points". Because, by default, it will only show you the latest Restore Point. Now, this is the most important part. You have to recall when was the last time you were able to use your computer or internet without the problems that you are dealing with now. If you had this problem just 3 days ago, then, choose a date 4 or 5 days ago. Because, the main purpose we are doing SYSTEM RESTORE is to eliminate minor glitch, by restoring your Computer to its previous "working" stage. After you choose the date of your restore point, just left CLICK on the NEXT button.
Then, it will bring you to the page: "Confirm your restore point". Then, just left CLICK on the FINISH button. SYSTEM RESTORE process takes around 3-5 minutes. Once your computer restarts, it will tell you If the restoration is successful or not. Once it tells you that System Restore is successful, try now the program or Internet, to see if everything works just like before. I hope this helps!

How about for MAC?
