BOY CHING WOO CHINESE RESTAURANT
The picture above was taken inside the "BOY CHING WOO Restaurant". I was very busy fixing few things for my Brother's Birthday, I didn't realize that I should have taken some pictures of the whole dining area and the facade of the restaurant building. They have function rooms on their 2nd and 3rd Floor, fully air-conditioned. The restaurant's location is just few meters away from the Caloocan City Hall, it is in J.Rodriguez Corner A.Mabini Street. Unfortunately, I don't have my own cam yet, I'm still saving some money for the NIKON DSLR 7000 that I'm planning to buy. I just borrowed my brother's Canon Digital Cam. Again, I am not a food or photo blogger, so If you hate the quality of the pictures and you don't find the food appetizing, just keep it to yourself, Hehehe! =P
This is what they call, the "CRAB MEAT and CORN SOUP"... Lots of chicken and quail eggs, with tiny bits of crab meat and corn kernels. It is just a little thick for me, too much cornstarch, hehehe!
Here's one of my favorite.... "SHRIMP WITH GREEN PEAS"... It looks like they cooked it in butter, garlic, oyster sauce, shrimp, quail eggs and green peas. But, I guess, it would be more delicious, If they will put chicken liver and more green bell peppers! But, even without it, it is indeed very delicious!
If you ask anyone from Caloocan City what's the best food to eat in "BOY CHING WOO's RESTAURANT", they will say, it's the restaurant's specialty, the "PANCIT SHANGHAI"... Flat thick noodles, with lots of veggies and chopped crispy pork belly! Oh my, I'm starving... =)
Sorry for the large space between the pictures of these two angry birds, I just had to separate them a little bit! Hehehe! Yes, you are right, it is "ROASTED CHICKEN of BALIWAG Litson Manok"... We bought it near the restaurant, upon my brother's request, since it's his birthday, we had no choice but to give him what he wants! The good thing about "BOY CHING WOO RESTAURANT", they are so gracious, considerate and very understanding, they didn't charge us for the corkage fee or anything, even though, the Roasted birds are bought outside the restaurant. I believe it's because, they truly believe in their cuisines and they are very confident that their food is still the best among the rest. They actually have other very delicious dishes, like Pata Tim, Lechon con Tokwa, Camaron Rebosado, Battered Chicken and Etc, but unfortunately, my budget for food was just limited.
Again, this is not a food or restaurant review. And, I am not being payed for this. I just really love their food! My mom said that her father used to bring her to this restaurant when she was still a teenager, that was a few decades ago. So, this restaurant is actually older than me. Not all people know that "BOY CHING WOO" is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Caloocan City. It was established in the year of 1939. So, If you are looking for an affordable and delicious authentic Chinese cuisine, you might wanna visit "BOY CHING WOO RESTAURANT".
